CBS sees dead people, NBC does not

Two networks faced off this week over extending the life of a show about dead people.

NBC confirmed this morning that Medium and My Name Is Earl are cancelled there. (But don't be surprised ifA Earl shows up on Fox since it's a Twentieth Century Fox TV production and it was developed under Kevin Reilly at NBC before he moved to FBS,A or Medium moves toA CBS.

'Subway' saves 'Chuck,' but could ABC or Fox save 'My Name Is Earl?'

Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studio, said today that "Chuck" was saved by Subway, which entered into an advertising partnership with NBC to save the drama, starring Zachary Levi.

'Medium' Axed, Then Saved

Patricia Arquette 's TV show Medium has been canceled and saved all in the space of 24 hours.

'Earl' creator OK being cut
